Principal Solutions Engineer, Emerging Technologies

What you'll do

• Lead technical validation of emerging products and initiatives from early development through general availability, and turn customer feedback into recommendations for product direction.
• Create repeatable discovery frameworks, demos, technical messaging, reference architectures, implementation guidance, and enablement for Solutions Engineers.
• Lead strategic customer previews and early-adopter engagements, while mentoring Solutions Engineers and representing 1Password at industry events.

What they ask for

• 8+ years in customer-facing technical roles within enterprise B2B SaaS, including leading initiatives beyond an individual sales territory.
• Track record translating emerging technologies into customer value, repeatable field motions, and recommendations shaping product or go-to-market direction.
• Experience partnering with Product Management, Engineering, Product Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to validate capabilities and incorporate customer feedback.
• Deep knowledge of modern identity architectures and developer or AI-powered workflows; executive communication skills; and experience with MEDDPICC or a similar enterprise sales methodology.

Nice to have

• Experience with private previews, beta programs, early-stage products, technical enablement or customer-facing content, or domains such as AI Security, Developer Security, Privileged Access, SaaS Manager, or Unified Access Management.
• Technical thought leadership through public speaking, writing, podcasts, or analyst engagements.

Pay

$171,000 USD to $248,000 USD annual base salary (USA); $170,000 CAD to $247,000 CAD annual base salary (Canada)
