About the job
Own and deploy perception systems for NEO humanoid robots, enabling body calibration, scene understanding, pose estimation, and safe movement in real-world environments.
What you'll do
- Build and deploy robot geometry calibration, 3D scene understanding, and human and object pose estimation systems.
- Fuse camera and inertial sensor data; automate and monitor calibration across production and deployed robots.
- Develop datasets and metrics to measure perception improvements in robot behavior.
What they ask for
- Proven record shipping perception systems on physical hardware in real-world settings.
- Ability to train, evaluate, and deploy deep learning models for detection, depth, or pose estimation in PyTorch.
- Deep experience in geometric computer vision, camera-based kinematic calibration, and camera intrinsics and extrinsics calibration.
- Strong Python and modern C++ skills; 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or an advanced degree plus equivalent hands-on experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with visual-inertial odometry or SLAM, sensor synchronization and fusion, or robot kinematics.
- Experience with scene reconstruction, calibration automation, field diagnostics, or non-RGB sensing.
