About the job
Develop and maintain charger firmware for humanoid robots, including charging control, BMS communication, converter regulation, and safety protections.
What you'll do
- Develop charger firmware for AC-DC conversion and lithium-ion battery charging.
- Implement charger-to-BMS communication, converter control loops, and fault protection.
- Test, validate, and verify firmware releases for functionality, reliability, and performance.
What they ask for
- 5+ years of embedded firmware development in C/C++ on real hardware; 7+ years for senior/staff-level positions, including interrupts, DMA, and timing-critical execution.
- Working understanding of switched-mode power supplies, AC-DC topologies, power factor correction, and transformer isolation.
- Understanding of lithium-ion charging protocols and how charge rate, temperature, and cell age affect charging.
- Hands-on CAN implementation and experience with additional embedded interfaces such as SPI, I²C, or UART; firmware-boundary hardware debugging with lab tools.
Nice to have
- Experience in relevant areas such as power conversion and lithium-ion charging, distributed real-time communication, or motor control; safety-critical systems experience is also noted.
- Familiarity with FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS, or similar; robotics or complex electromechanical product experience.
