Leads finite element analysis of reactor structures, components, and supporting systems, translating coupled thermal, mechanical, seismic, and other operating conditions into engineering decisions and design documentation.
What you'll do
- Develop and perform structural, thermomechanical, fatigue, buckling, dynamic, seismic, and coupled analyses for reactor hardware.
- Prepare design recommendations, safety margins, reports, and calculation packages for engineering reviews and licensing support.
- Establish analysis standards and verification practices, and mentor engineers as a technical authority.
