Founding Machine Learning Engineer

What you'll do

• Set ML strategy, infrastructure, and build-versus-buy direction; build the ML function as it grows.
• Develop end-to-end production ML systems, including data pipelines, model training, evaluation, and inference serving.
• Own data and feedback strategies, integrate ML into products with engineering partners, and lead the ML team as scope expands.

What they ask for

• 4+ years of experience building ML systems in production.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and production-quality coding in modern languages, with experience in large codebases.
• Experience with cloud ML infrastructure such as AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, Modal, Baseten, or similar.
• Experience with common ML and data-processing frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, or Spark.

Nice to have

• Experience standing up the ML function at an early-stage startup or serving as a senior or lead ML person at a previous company.
