Software Engineer – Adobe Experience Platform

What you'll do

• Design and deliver distributed systems for identity resolution, consent management, and customer profiles.
• Build low-latency data pipelines and cloud-native microservices, and lead delivery from design through production.
• Integrate generative AI/ML for segmentation, recommendations, and live decisioning; mentor engineers and collaborate cross-functionally.

What they ask for

• 5+ years’ experience developing large-scale distributed systems or platforms in production environments.
• Deep backend expertise in Java or Scala, including concurrency, performance tuning, and microservices.
• Experience engineering real-time data solutions using event-driven architectures such as Kafka and Spark/Flink.
• Experience designing, implementing, and operating fault-tolerant, low-latency APIs in cloud-native settings.

Nice to have

• Experience with customer data platforms, martech, adtech, or related areas; identity resolution, segmentation, consent management, or privacy-first architectures.
• Hands-on machine learning or personalization experience; regulatory compliance knowledge (GDPR, CCPA); mentorship or architectural leadership.

Pay

$139,000 - $257,550 annually (USD, base salary); $177,900 - $257,550 (USD, base salary) in California
