About the job
Develop and architect reliable firmware for Agility Robotics’ humanoid robots, spanning low-level controls, sensor networks, power management, and hardware interfaces.
What you'll do
- Contribute to C++ firmware architecture and develop firmware communication layers, hardware abstraction, peripheral drivers, and applications.
- Test and debug hardware in real time, and write performant, tested, maintainable, and documented C++ code.
- Coordinate across disciplines, document interfaces, and support integration of hardware and higher-level robot control algorithms.
What they ask for
- Experience writing modern C++ (17, 20).
- Experience using FreeRTOS or similar.
- Proficiency with a Linux-based development environment.
- Ability to read schematics, PCB layouts, and component datasheets.
Nice to have
- Experience with automation fieldbuses such as EtherCAT or CAN; EtherCAT is highly desirable.
- Experience with embedded C++ for ARM, real-time or low-latency systems, HIL testing, unit testing, or agile development processes.
