About the job

Leads electrical hardware architecture for humanoid robotics platforms, integrating sensing, compute, actuation, control, and safety systems from design through deployment.

What you'll do

  • Own electrical system architecture and guide development of high-performance robotic subsystems.
  • Lead trade studies and architecture reviews, balancing performance, safety, complexity, manufacturability, cost, and reliability.
  • Partner across engineering teams to develop testable requirements and evolve architecture using system modeling, field performance, and R&D findings.

What they ask for

  • 8+ years in robotics hardware development, including at least 3 years leading electrical product development or as a lead engineer.
  • 5+ years in electrical system design, including actuator development, power systems, PCBA design, component selection, and layout.
  • 3+ years of firmware development, from bare-metal to network integration.
  • Experience delivering complex electromechanical robotic systems into field or commercial deployment, plus strong foundations in electrical engineering, robot kinematics, dynamics, controls, and system modeling.

Nice to have

  • Robotics architecture experience in humanoid, legged mobility, mobile manipulation, or high-DOF automation; familiarity with functional safety, FMEA/FMECA, or hazard analysis.
  • Experience with Altium, Windchill or similar ERP systems, Github, MuJoCo or Gazebo, perception pipelines, real-time control, or AI and reinforcement learning applied to robotics.
