About the job
Leads independent assurance of Airwallex’s financial crime compliance program by redesigning and delivering monitoring and testing across the Americas.
What you'll do
- Build and deliver a regional assurance plan for the US, Canada, Brazil and Mexico, aligned with local risks and regulatory expectations.
- Map controls to risk assessments, identify testing gaps, and develop an annual testing plan around state examination cycles.
- Use analytics and AI to improve assurance, document findings, and partner with compliance, product, regulators and other stakeholders.

- Deep understanding of global AML and sanctions frameworks, including US regulatory expectations.
- Proven program monitoring and testing experience, with evidence of improving a financial crime compliance program.
- Experience in a second-line financial crime compliance, risk or assurance function.
- Experience using data analytics, automation or AI-enabled approaches to improve monitoring, testing or assurance.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting Group, Regional or Country MLRO functions, including governance and regulatory engagements.

Pay
$120K – $150K USD base salary; $20K – $30K USD bonus
