About the job

Designs and validates embedded firmware for real-time motor control in autonomous electromechanical platforms.

What you'll do

  • Develop C/C++ firmware and control algorithms for motor systems, including high-frequency loops and deterministic behavior.
  • Bring up and debug motor control boards with electrical engineers, using lab equipment to troubleshoot and validate performance.
  • Optimize firmware and conduct lab and field testing for latency, efficiency, reliability, and motor performance.

What they ask for

  • 3+ years of embedded firmware development focused on motor control systems.
  • Experience with real-time control loops, BLDC/PMSM motors, motor drivers, and power electronics.
  • Proficiency in embedded C/C++ and experience with microcontrollers such as STM32, TI C2000, or similar.
  • Hardware debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Field-Oriented Control (FOC) or advanced motor control techniques.
  • RTOS or bare-metal real-time firmware experience; firmware integration with mechanical systems and actuators; or familiarity with high-reliability or defense systems.

Tools

C/C++, STM32, TI C2000, BLDC, PMSM, PID, FOC, RTOS
