Leads exterior automotive lighting design and release from concept through production, coordinating cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver validated, compliant, production-ready systems.
What you'll do
- Design lighting solutions and resolve technical issues, including system-level faults and root causes.
- Lead DFMEAs, support validation and sign-off, and manage Tier 1 supplier relationships and engineering changes.
- Maintain BOMs in Enovia and generate and manage 3D and 2D data with Catia V6.
What they ask for
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in lighting systems engineering, including communication logs (CAN traces).
- Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6, including Part Design and Geometric Surface Design.
- Working knowledge of FMVSS, ECE, NCAP, and other automotive evaluation and regulatory achievement.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree.
- Exterior/interior lamp development at a Tier 1 or OEM.
