Own validation of autonomous-vehicle interior and exterior trim components, from test planning and supplier oversight through failure analysis and production readiness.
What you'll do
- Develop test plans and acceptance criteria, and oversee durability, environmental, and performance testing.
- Analyze test failures, contribute to DFMEA, and drive root cause and corrective actions.
- Coordinate validation with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including travel to supplier and test sites.
What they ask for
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree and experience.
- Experience in automotive trim, interior, or body validation, including hands-on testing and data-driven failure analysis.
- Working knowledge of plastic injection molding, automotive painting and surfacing, manufacturing processes, materials, environmental failure modes, and FMVSS/regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with CAD (CATIA and/or SolidWorks).
Nice to have
- Component design experience in trim or interior/exterior systems; familiarity with Polarion and Jira.
- Test experience such as metrology or color swatching, or experience in a new-program or new-product-introduction environment.
Pay
$120,000 - 130,000 USD base salary
