About the job
Build machine-checked proofs that cryptographic implementations are correct, while contributing to algorithm implementation and optimization for AWS-LC and production use.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain proofs of correctness for cryptographic implementations; specify low-level code and verify it with interactive theorem provers.
- Use formal methods, program analysis, and testing to improve assurance in a widely deployed security-critical codebase.
- Implement and optimize cryptographic algorithms, including post-quantum constructions, and collaborate on production-grade, FIPS-validated software.
What they ask for
- PhD or equivalent research experience.
- Experience in mathematical logic, formal verification, SAT/SMT solving, mechanical theorem proving, model checking, or program analysis.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with an interactive theorem prover such as HOL Light, Isabelle/HOL, Lean, Coq, or Verus.
- Experience with low-level software verification, cryptography, systems programming, or post-quantum cryptography.
