About the job

Design and optimize efficient ASIC hardware for AWS machine-learning servers, including Inferentia, from microarchitecture and RTL through design-quality checks.

What you'll do

  • Develop and implement high-performance, area- and power-efficient RTL; deliver synthesis- and timing-clean designs.
  • Analyze architectures and microarchitectures to balance features, power, performance, and area; create microarchitectures and SystemVerilog RTL.
  • Run lint and clock-domain-crossing checks and collaborate with architecture, verification, validation, synthesis, timing, and backend teams.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience identifying bugs across architecture, algorithms, functionality, and performance, with strong debugging skills.
  • Experience verifying logic at multiple levels, from IP blocks and SoCs to full-system testing.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or a related field.
  • Formal verification; ARM or DSP ISAs; listed RF standards; or industry-standard tools and Python or Perl scripting.
