Hardware Development Engineer II, AWS Mainstream Compute

What you'll do

• Own and lead server product design and development with design and manufacturing partners.
• Work with customers and interdisciplinary engineering teams to architect, build, qualify, and launch server products.
• Monitor deployed server fleets for quality and customer requirements, improving performance, quality, and cost.

What they ask for

• Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures; experience in server technologies including thermal, mechanical, power, and signal integrity.
• Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering experience; 5+ years leading ODMs and other suppliers in product development and manufacturing.
• In-depth expertise in one or more server technologies, such as thermal/mechanical design, high-speed bus design and signal integrity, failure analysis, server components, BIOS, BMC, or networking; oral and written communication experience.

Nice to have

• Experience executing product design from concept to production with interdisciplinary teams; experience owning product feature delivery and tradeoffs.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; 7+ years of server, storage, networking, or large-scale distributed systems experience.

Pay

USD 157,300.00 - 212,800.00 annually (base salary); USD 136,000.00 - 184,000.00 annually (base salary); USD 136,000.00 - 184,000.00 annually (base salary)
