What you'll do

• Build conversational and multimodal robot behaviors using context from users, interaction history, and the physical environment.
• Develop perception, memory, and personalization systems for socially appropriate, long-term interactions.
• Lead projects through production deployment, mentor junior team members, and connect research with engineering implementation.

What they ask for

• PhD or equivalent research experience, or a Master's degree and 6+ years of industry or academic research experience; also requires 3+ years of industry or academic research experience.
• Strong publication record at major HRI/ML/AI/HCI conferences and experience designing, running, and analyzing user studies with real participants.
• Programming experience in Python or a related language; demonstrated technical project leadership and mentoring experience.
• Expertise in at least one listed interaction or social-computing area, plus experience applying machine learning to interactive or socially situated systems.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying interaction systems on physical robots or other embodied platforms.
• Experience with LLM-based agents, long-term memory or personalization, or perception-system integration.
