About the job
Installs, cables, maintains, and repairs network and other infrastructure equipment at AWS data centers, with travel between sites as operational needs require.
What you'll do
- Move and install enterprise equipment; install and patch fiber and copper cabling.
- Maintain safety and security standards and follow hardware installation and break-fix procedures.
- Use material-handling equipment and travel to data center locations, including temporary training sites.
What they ask for
- 2+ years of data center, critical environment, hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations, or similar technical experience.
- 2+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment experience, including VFL, power meter, and OTDR.
- Experience with network hardware, including copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, and routers.
- Ability to travel to or commute between data center sites and temporarily work at alternative sites when needed.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field, or experience in professional or military IT-related roles.
- Relevant certification (CCENT, Network+, or CCNA); data center/critical environment experience, hiring/interview experience, and flexible schedule availability are also preferred.
Pay
30.91 - 54.18 USD hourly (base salary)
