About the job
Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots data center hardware and cabling while following safety and security procedures and traveling between sites as needed.
What you'll do
- Move and install enterprise equipment; install and patch fiber and copper cabling.
- Follow hardware installation and break-fix procedures, maintaining safety and security standards.
- Use material-handling equipment and travel to data center locations, including temporary training sites.
What they ask for
- 2+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations, or similar technical-role experience.
- 2+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment experience, including VFL, power meter, and OTDR.
- Experience with network hardware, including copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, and routers.
- Ability to travel to or commute between data center sites as required, including temporarily working at alternative sites.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field, or experience in professional or military IT-related roles.
- Relevant certification (CCENT, Network+, or CCNA); data center or critical-environment experience is also preferred.
Pay
30.91 - 54.18 USD hourly (base salary)
