Principal Data Scientist, AWS Analytics Engineering (AAE)

What you'll do

• Define the multi-year science vision and roadmap for AWS product growth analytics.
• Advise senior leaders using scientific analysis, growth insights, and strategic recommendations.
• Develop analytical frameworks and metrics, raise scientific standards, and mentor decision scientists.

What they ask for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 10+ years in data science or a similar role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling, and communication.
• Competency in data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R).
• Experience with advanced machine learning techniques, leading large-scale technical or scientific programs, and influencing senior leadership.

Nice to have

• PhD or Master's degree in a related quantitative field; knowledge of AWS technology stack or Certification.
• Applied experience with Gen AI, large language models, Bayesian methods, econometrics, or reinforcement learning.

Pay

189,400.00 - 256,200.00 USD annually (base salary)
