About the job
Develops and maintains product safety specifications, testing and verification plans, and risk controls for Whole Foods Market private-brand products across complex categories, ensuring product and regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Set and review product testing requirements, specifications, claims validation criteria, and shelf-life study parameters; assess supplier documents, test results, and facility risks.
- Coordinate with suppliers, labs, legal, and cross-functional teams on compliance, corrective actions, product reviews, and risk mitigation; communicate findings and recommendations to leaders.
- Improve product safety programs, define performance indicators, monitor regulatory trends, and mentor or help hire and train team members.
