About the job

Researches and designs superconducting digital circuits and cryogenic control electronics for scalable quantum processors, from modeling and simulation through layout and fabrication handoff.

What you'll do

  • Design and simulate superconducting digital circuits and cryogenic control/readout electronics, including Josephson-junction models and verification.
  • Evaluate system-level trade-offs such as wiring, power, latency, and footprint, and communicate recommendations.
  • Co-design control interfaces with qubit-device teams and deliver tapeout-ready layouts and verification reports.

What they ask for

  • PhD, or Master's degree and 7+ years of applied research experience.
  • Programming experience in Java, C++, Python, or a related language; circuit design and simulation experience.
  • Experience with patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
  • Experience with superconducting qubit control/readout, superconducting digital circuits and margin analysis, and EDA flows for custom circuit design.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of cryogenic electronics, including cryo-CMOS, low-temperature amplifiers and mixers, or thermal and power budgeting.
  • Experience with microwave engineering, chip fabrication and measurement correlation, or quantum error correction decoding.

Pay
