Senior Embedded Software Development Engineer - Sensor & Compute, Amazon Robotics

What you'll do

• Research sensor technologies and evaluate their applications in Amazon’s fulfillment network; develop next-generation 2D and 3D sensors and computers with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Architect systems, define requirements and specifications, and create test plans.
• Develop embedded software from device drivers through applications, advise on sensor integration, and support manufacturing release and customer deployment.

What they ask for

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development and 5+ years programming experience.
• 5+ years leading design or architecture of new and existing systems; 2+ years contributing to systems architecture and design.
• High proficiency in C/C++; 6+ years of embedded software development with hands-on experience across the full development cycle.
• BA/BS/MS/PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline; experience mentoring, advising, or leading an engineering team.

Nice to have

• Experience with sensors such as cameras, stereo cameras, time-of-flight sensors, Radar, or Lidar.
• 5+ years across the full software development life cycle; experience driving collaborative projects from conception to delivery or troubleshooting and documenting findings.

Pay

168,100.00 - 227,400.00 USD annually (base salary)
