What you'll do

• Translate requirements into architecture and design; participate in code and design reviews.
• Partner with teams to deliver and operate large-scale distributed cloud services, overseeing scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Mentor engineers and help build the team and its technical culture.

What they ask for

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience and 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 8+ years leading definition and development of multi-tier web services; 3+ years as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related occupation.
• At least 1 year each in technical leadership and project management across the software development lifecycle; developing large-scale distributed systems using Java, C#, or C++, service-oriented architecture, and distributed programming.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; knowledge of full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle practices; experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Nice to have

• Experience communicating requirements, product features, technical designs, and strategy to users, technical teams, and senior leadership.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing Software Engineers.
