Software Development Engineer II, AWS Healthcare AI

What you'll do

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain healthcare cloud services and optimize machine learning models.
• Collaborate across product, science, and engineering teams on product roadmaps and architectural decisions.
• Support the full software lifecycle, including testing, code reviews, operations, and healthcare compliance.

What they ask for

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience; 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience; 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl; 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience with a programming language, distributed computing, machine learning concepts, data structures, algorithms, software design patterns, and agile development methodologies.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques.

Pay

143,700.00 - 194,400.00 USD annually (base salary)
