Software Development Engineer, Open Data Analytics - Engines

What you'll do

• Design and build technologies for running analytic SQL at scale; solve distributed-systems and query-engine problems.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into architecture and design, then deliver features with high quality.
• Own software development end to end, from requirements and implementation through testing, deployment, and production operations.

What they ask for

• Programming experience in at least one software language; strong object-oriented development proficiency in Java, C, C++, or C#.
• 1+ years contributing to systems architecture and design, including reliability and scaling.
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience and 2+ years of non-internship systems design or architecture experience.
• 3+ years with a Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, OR 5+ years with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, in software development; strong computer science fundamentals.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of full software development life-cycle experience.
• Experience with query processing, query engines or query optimization; parallel algorithms, concurrency, asynchronous architectures, high-performance multithreaded programming, or the Hadoop ecosystem.

Pay

143,700.00 - 194,400.00 USD annually (base salary)
