Software Engineering Manager, AWS Commercial Applications, Amazon Elastic VMware Service (EVS)

What you'll do

• Lead and develop a team of 10+ software development engineers, including mentoring and performance management.
• Own the software development lifecycle and deliver highly available, scalable EVS features.
• Set technical strategy and architecture, and operate a global AWS service in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

What they ask for

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience; 7+ years of engineering experience; 8+ years leading definition and development of multi tier web services.
• 3+ years of Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupational experience; 1+ years providing technical leadership and project management across the software development lifecycle.
• 1+ years developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed systems using Java, C#, or C++; service-oriented architecture; and distributed programming.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; knowledge of full-lifecycle engineering practices; experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Nice to have

• Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements and describe product features, designs, and strategy.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing software engineering teams.

Pay

USD 184,900.00 - 250,200.00 annually base salary
