About the job

Defines RF architecture, specifications, and calibration for Amazon Leo phased-array systems, from ASIC design and simulation through lab validation and production yield improvement.

What you'll do

  • Own RF architecture and line-up design; define RF specifications and performance requirements for custom ASICs.
  • Model and characterize RF impairments, review RFIC designs, and develop impairment calibration and correction techniques.
  • Support post-silicon lab validation, resolve performance bottlenecks, and collaborate on production yield improvements.

What they ask for

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant wireless DSP/RF systems engineering experience (LTE, 5G-NR, WiFi 802.11, BLE).
  • Knowledge of RF architectures, low-power RFIC/ASIC design, RF blocks, and simulation tools; experience estimating and compensating RF impairments.
  • Experience with lab equipment, chip bring-up and validation, and MATLAB, Python and/or C/C++ for fixed-point DSP algorithm development and RF modeling.

Nice to have

  • Strong background in RFIC design, wireless communication systems, and low-power DSP blocks for Wireless RF SOCs.
  • Familiarity with phased arrays, silicon bring-up, Ansys HFSS, and Keysight ADS.
