Sr. Software Development Engineer, AWS Security

What you'll do

• Design and build LLM-based security tooling for code scanning, severity assessment, and remediation suggestions.
• Automate security workflows and proactively identify and remediate issues in software deliverables.
• Own service operations and technical design, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor security engineers.

What they ask for

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience and 5+ years programming in at least one language.
• 5+ years leading design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
• Knowledge of machine learning and LLM fundamentals; experience contributing to open-source projects and driving upstream features or fixes.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of full software development life-cycle experience; bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience deploying LLMs on AI acceleration hardware, maintaining open-source repositories, or applying open-source security practices.
