AI Engineer SME

What you'll do

• Build and deploy production AI/GenAI and LLM systems, retrieval workflows, and analytic capabilities.
• Design data architecture, ETL pipelines, access controls, and lineage across structured and unstructured data.
• Develop and integrate full-stack applications, backend services, databases, and AI services in agile environments.

What they ask for

• Active Top Secret clearance, eligibility for SCI, and ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor's or master's degree with 10 years of experience specializing in AI/ML engineering.
• Hands-on production AI/GenAI and LLM deployment experience, including embeddings, orchestration, reasoning, memory, and tool execution.
• On-site work in Chantilly, VA; proficiency with specified AI/ML frameworks, cloud platforms, MLOps, and full-stack technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience in federal, defense, or highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of ethical AI, governance frameworks, secure development practices, large-scale optimization, GPU acceleration, or distributed training.

USD 95,352.72–212,566.06 per-year-salary; base salary
