About the job

Debug and resolve field-reported issues in autonomous maritime systems, from reproducing failures and identifying root causes to testing, shipping fixes, and documenting outcomes.

What you'll do

  • Investigate anomalies across subsystems using recorded data, logs, metrics, and visualization tools; determine whether the cause is code, configuration, or deployment.
  • Implement and test fixes through CI and versioned rollout, validating in simulation and hardware-in-the-loop when appropriate.
  • Document root causes, help develop the on-call/triage runbook, and work with subsystem owners on systemic fixes.

What they ask for

  • Experience debugging unfamiliar code under time pressure with incomplete information.
  • Ability to read and fix bugs in at least two of Rust, modern C++, Python, and Go.
  • Systems-debugging skills, including logs, metrics, and offline reproduction from recorded data; prior exposure to observability tooling.
  • Linux and systems fluency; clear written communication; willingness to work near hardware and sensors and travel 25%+ on average.

Nice to have

  • Robotics middleware, sensor drivers, or real-time data pipeline experience; simulation-in-the-loop or hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • CI/CD or versioned deployment for embedded or fleet software; on-call or field support for shipped hardware.

Pay
