About the job

Designs, develops, tests, and supports guidance, navigation, and control systems for spacecraft across orbital regimes and mission types.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement spacecraft GNC hardware, software, algorithms, and simulation products.
  • Develop test plans and validate GNC systems through ground checkout, commissioning, and on-orbit operations.
  • Build spacecraft autonomy, fault detection, and simulation capabilities, collaborating with engineering teams and mission stakeholders.

What they ask for

  • Strong engineering background; relevant fields include aerospace engineering, dynamics and controls, computer science, or another engineering degree.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C++, Go, and/or Linux Systems.
  • Experience with orbital mechanics and resident space object tracking; familiarity with rendezvous, proximity operations and docking, propulsive spacecraft, and/or spacecraft attitude determination and controls.
  • Strong knowledge of spacecraft dynamics, orbital mechanics, and control theory; must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience with propulsion testing, spacecraft operations, hardware-in-the-loop testing, digital spacecraft simulators, computer vision, or spacecraft dynamics simulation.
