About the job

Disposition structural non-conformances on Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms, using analysis and cross-functional coordination to support safe repair, rework, use-as-is, or scrap decisions.

What you'll do

  • Substantiate metallic and composite structural dispositions through hand calculations and finite element analysis, covering strength, fatigue, damage tolerance, and buckling.
  • Write disposition packages and improve MRB methods, while addressing recurring issues through root-cause and corrective-action efforts.
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams; provide build-floor support and travel to manufacturing and integration sites as needed.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of aerospace structural analysis experience, including dispositioning non-conformances (MRB, liaison, or stress engineering).
  • Strong knowledge of static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance, and load-path analysis for metallic and composite structures; experience substantiating repairs for both.
  • Proficiency with finite element analysis tools (NASTRAN or equivalent) and classical hand calculations; eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Prior MRB signature/delegated authority on a production aerospace program; experience in high-rate or rapidly scaling production.
  • Familiarity with military airworthiness and structural substantiation standards; composite repair experience; CATIA or Siemens NX proficiency; aircraft manufacturing or depot repair experience.
