About the job

Design, test, and mature the electrical systems for spaceborne EO/IR sensor payloads, from architecture and prototypes through flight hardware.

What you'll do

  • Define payload electrical architecture, including power distribution, harnesses, grounding, and communications.
  • Design and validate power, interface, EMI/EMC, and protection circuitry; support qualification and reliability analyses.
  • Integrate and test electrical designs with cross-functional teams, and as needed lead small engineering teams.

What they ask for

  • Experience designing isolated DC/DC conversion, EMI filters, and transient/over-voltage protection for low-voltage DC systems.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464 (or equivalent) EMI/EMC design and test methods.
  • US Person status; eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Radiation-tolerant electronics design and TID/SEU analysis for space systems.
  • High-speed interfaces (10GbE, SERDES) and signal integrity analysis.
