About the job

Develop and validate GPS-denied navigation and sensor-fusion algorithms, taking them from design through simulation and hardware testing to flight deployment.

What you'll do

  • Design, implement, and validate navigation algorithms, including vision-based navigation, map matching, and state estimation.
  • Develop algorithms through simulation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and flight validation; analyze test data to improve performance and debug issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and mentor junior engineers on algorithm design, validation, and continuous integration.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field focused on dynamic systems, estimation, or control.
  • Deep expertise in state estimation and sensor fusion, including Kalman filter types and practical implementation.
  • Experience with vision-based navigation or robust map matching; ability to develop and debug algorithms on physical hardware.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in a relevant technical field.
  • Experience with TERCOM or other non-GPS localization, collaborative navigation, or deploying algorithms on physical hardware.
