About the job

Leads the design, implementation, testing, and operation of spacecraft guidance, navigation, and control systems across missions and orbital regimes.

What you'll do

  • Lead spacecraft GNC hardware and software development and coordinate implementation with bus providers and partner teams.
  • Design algorithms, simulations, autonomy tools, and fault responses; develop test plans and validate systems on the ground and in orbit.
  • Support spacecraft commissioning and operations, including launch windows, customer coordination, and mission success.

What they ask for

  • Strong engineering background; relevant fields include astrodynamics, aerospace engineering, dynamics and controls, or computer science.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C++, Go, and/or Linux Systems.
  • Experience in spacecraft operations and satellite command and control, orbital mechanics and resident space object tracking, and 3-DOF and 6-DOF dynamics simulation.
  • Strong knowledge of spacecraft dynamics, orbital mechanics, and control theory; eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience testing propulsion subsystems in space-environment laboratory conditions or using FlatSats, Hardware-in-the-Loop testbeds, and digital spacecraft simulators.
  • Experience with computer vision and perception algorithms for GNC operations; exposure to U.S. satellite operations policy and constraints.
