What you'll do
- Lead optical architecture decisions and design and tolerance optical components and systems.
- Define performance requirements and transition prototype systems into production through testing and analysis.
- Analyze optical system performance and resolve interdisciplinary technical problems as the Optical Engineering subject matter expert.
What they ask for
- BS in Engineering or Physics/Astronomy with a concentration in Optics.
- 5+ years of experience with complex opto-mechanical systems, including optical design, analysis, alignment, and test in the workforce.
- Experience building wide field MWIR, LWIR, or multiband imaging optical systems; STOP analysis; and diffraction limited imaging systems in dynamic environments.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
