Senior Software Engineer, Space Special Programs

What you'll do

• Architect flight, ground, and payload software and lead the engineering team while contributing as an individual engineer.
• Drive prototyping, design verification, qualification, integration, and test activities for space systems.
• Translate mission needs into reusable software, establish engineering practices, and mentor the team.

What they ask for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical / computer engineering, or similar engineering or technical field.
• 8+ years Software Engineering Experience directly developing a combination of embedded, host, and product-specific software; 3+ years leading a software engineering team working on small spacecraft.
• Experience with subsystem requirements and software architectures, embedded C, device drivers, resource-constrained algorithms, host-level software, and mature spacecraft programs including testing.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

• M.S. in aerospace, mechanical, computer science or similar engineering or technical field.
• 3+ years working in a classified environment; experience designing, integrating, and flying CubeSat spacecraft.

Pay

$191,000 — $254,000 USD (base salary)
