Senior Supplier Quality Engineering, Rocket Motor Systems

What you'll do

• Lead supplier issue containment, corrective actions, audits, and qualification activities; report quality metrics and corrective-action status.
• Develop supplier capability and production-readiness plans, conduct supplier visits, and partner with engineering on manufacturability and inspectability.
• Support material review and supplier-risk mitigation, coordinating with sourcing, engineering, and commodity quality specialists.

What they ask for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of supplier quality engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or propulsion manufacturing, with responsibility for supplier development, auditing, and corrective action management.
• Experience scaling supplier quality from development and prototype through LRIP to full-rate production; working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and supplier audits; proficiency with AS9102, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and MSA; demonstrated root-cause and corrective-action leadership.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%; must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a technical field; solid rocket motor manufacturing experience; ASQ CQE, CQA, or CSQP certification.
• Experience with energetic-material safety and regulations, government contract quality requirements, or AI-assisted supplier quality tools and analytics.

Pay

$127,000 — $170,000 USD (base salary)
