Transition a Ladar system from engineering development through qualification and high-rate production, bridging systems engineering, testing, and manufacturing.
What you'll do
- Lead EDU deployment, design verification and environmental qualification testing, and preparations for CDR and MRR.
- Work with manufacturing and hardware teams to scale production and develop rugged, efficient manufacturing test equipment.
- Collaborate on test automation, software maturity, sensor performance models, and laboratory and field experiments.
What they ask for
- 5+ years of hardware-centric systems engineering experience with EO systems, Ladar/Lidar, or high-precision pointing systems.
- Experience transitioning complex multidisciplinary systems from low TRL to high TRL or production readiness.
- Familiarity with DVT campaigns, environmental testing, field testing, DFM, test equipment ruggedization, and test optimization or automation.
- Advanced proficiency in an analytical toolchain or language (e.g., MATLAB, Python); strong laboratory skills; willingness to travel; able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
Nice to have
- Experience with hardware/software integration, software interfaces, UI productization, or background software requirements.
- Experience with software/firmware automated test frameworks; knowledge of advanced sensing systems and platforms.
