About the job

Debug and fix field-reported software issues across autonomous maritime vehicle systems, validating fixes in simulation or hardware-in-the-loop before release.

What you'll do

  • Reproduce and diagnose vehicle anomalies using recorded data, logs, metrics, and visualization tools; identify and fix issues at the correct system layer.
  • Test, document, and ship fixes through tests, CI, and versioned rollout; record root causes and help develop an on-call/triage runbook.
  • Work with owning teams on subsystem-level changes and travel to support field work.

What they ask for

  • Experience debugging code you did not write under time pressure and with incomplete information.
  • Comfort reading and fixing bugs in at least two of Rust, modern C++, Python, and Go.
  • Systems-debugging skills, including logs, metrics, and offline reproduction from recorded data; prior observability-tooling experience.
  • Linux and systems fluency; willingness to work close to hardware and sensors and travel 25%+ of the time on average.

Nice to have

  • Robotics middleware, sensor drivers, or real-time data pipeline experience; simulation-in-the-loop or hardware-in-the-loop experience.
  • CI/CD and versioned deployment for embedded or fleet software; on-call or field-support experience for shipped hardware.

Pay

$191,000 — $253,000 USD (base salary)

Tools
