About the job

Develops and validates multi-target tracking algorithms for space and missile defense missions, then transitions them into real-time operational systems.

What you'll do

  • Design tracking, state-estimation, data-association, and multi-sensor-fusion algorithms; validate them with physics-based modeling and simulation.
  • Analyze tracking performance under challenging conditions and transition MATLAB/Python prototypes to production C/C++.
  • Support systems engineering activities, verification planning, design reviews, and technical documentation.

What they ask for

  • Active U.S. Secret security clearance that can be maintained.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a listed or related technical field.
  • 5+ years designing, implementing, and testing multi-target tracking algorithms for aerospace, defense, or autonomous systems.
  • Experience with Kalman filtering and multi-target tracking; MATLAB and/or Python development with transition to C++; and modeling, simulation, and testing workflows.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in space or missile defense, EO/IR or RF sensors, challenging tracking scenarios, real-time or embedded systems, systems engineering design cycles, or MBSE tools.
