What you'll do

  • Design and improve widely used APIs, frameworks, and research code while preserving reliability.
  • Embed with research teams to build systems for their needs and transfer ownership to them.
  • Improve production RL monitoring, regression detection, and triage, and help establish engineering standards.

What they ask for

  • Deep expertise in Python, including static typing, safe async and concurrency patterns, and performant code.
  • Track record designing intuitive, safe APIs or frameworks adopted by other engineers or teams.
  • Experience working productively in large, evolving, or research-style codebases not originally written by you.
  • Ability to prevent failure modes structurally through system design, type safety, and testing.

Nice to have

  • Experience building infrastructure, tooling, or frameworks for machine learning research or RL workflows.
