Owns security architecture and implementation across Apex’s corporate and development environments, translating cybersecurity requirements into technical controls and guidance.
What you'll do
- Design security architecture and implement security controls across corporate and development environments.
- Translate NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 requirements into technical designs, and support ATO activities with documentation and implementation guidance.
- Identify and remediate security gaps; define CUI boundaries, network diagrams, and data flows, and collaborate on network security design.

- Active Top Secret clearance at time of hire and US citizenship.
- 5 or more years of hands-on experience in security engineering, cloud security, infrastructure security, or cybersecurity architecture.
- Strong working knowledge of AWS security, Microsoft identity, network and endpoint security, vulnerability management, logging, and secure administrative access.
- Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2, and ability to connect controls to technical implementations.
Nice to have
- Experience with Microsoft GCC High, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike Falcon, Tenable, AWS GovCloud, Entra ID, Elastic, CyberArk, Terraform, containers, or Kubernetes.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, national security, ATO, RMF, or other regulated technical environments; relevant security certifications.
