About the job

Develop embedded firmware for cellular physical-layer signal processing on 4G/5G/6G systems, interfacing with specialized ASIC hardware under tight performance, memory, latency, and energy constraints.

What you'll do

  • Implement cellular physical-layer algorithms, channels, procedures, and signal-processing functions in firmware.
  • Design and optimize firmware architecture; refine fixed-point implementations and validate bit-exactness against algorithmic references.
  • Support pre-silicon emulation and verification, and develop tools and methodologies for build, formal verification, and testing.

What they ask for

  • BS degree and relevant industry experience.
  • Experience implementing DSP algorithms on specialized digital/vector processing hardware or wireless physical-layer channels interfacing with specialized hardware.
  • Deep understanding of software engineering principles and computer science fundamentals; facility with C and C++.
  • Experience with silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms; computer architecture and high-speed communication hardware/software interfaces; Python scripting.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of 3GPP cellular standards and digital/wireless communications.
  • Experience with memory-constrained RTOS and concurrent programming; familiarity with machine learning and generative AI.

Pay

USD $175,000 to $308,500 base salary; USD $184,700 to $324,800 base salary

Tools

C, C++, Python, RTOS, 3GPP

AI focus

Familiarity with machine learning concepts and generative AI is preferred; no specific AI development duties are stated.
