Bachelor’s degree.

About the job

Design and deliver real-time embedded firmware and algorithms for cellular SoCs, including validation and pre-silicon development.

What you'll do

  • Implement cycle- and memory-efficient algorithms, including power gating, tracking loops, and physical-layer procedures.
  • Build validation frameworks and support pre-silicon emulation systems and virtual platforms for firmware design and hardware verification.
  • Evaluate and implement tools for build, formal verification, and testing.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Understanding of bare-metal control firmware optimized for cycles and memory, constrained firmware environments, firmware/software life cycles, and system-level feature architecture.
  • Fundamental facility with C, C++, compilers, build and source-code control tools; computer architecture and high-speed communication subsystem hardware/software interfaces.
  • Some mainstream OS application-level development and Python or Perl scripting experience; foundational ML and deep-learning knowledge and use of generative AI for design and implementation.

Nice to have

  • Theoretical understanding of AI/ML algorithms, parameter estimation, and targeting algorithms to AI/ML acceleration hardware.
  • Understanding of 5G and 4G 3GPP protocols, wireless communications, asymmetric multiprocessing, silicon prototyping, emulation, virtual platforms, RTOS, or concurrent programming.

Pay

$122,700 and $214,300 (USD base salary)

Tools

C, C++, Python, Perl, CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, RTOS

AI focus

Use AI/ML to improve productivity and develop system architectures implementing AI/ML principles; apply generative AI in design and implementation.
