About the job

Develop and validate optimized real-time embedded firmware and control algorithms for cellular SoCs, including pre-silicon design and verification.

What you'll do

  • Implement power-gating, tracking-loop, and spec-based physical-layer algorithms under strict memory, cycle, and timing constraints.
  • Build validation frameworks and contribute to pre-silicon emulation systems and virtual platforms for firmware design and hardware verification.
  • Evaluate and implement tools for build, formal verification, and testing.

What they ask for

  • BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
  • Experience designing and implementing highly optimized bare-metal control firmware, leading feature delivery across a complete firmware/software life cycle, and architecting system-level features.
  • Fundamental facility with C and C++, compilers, build and source code control tools; experience with Python or Perl scripting.
  • Strong foundation in machine learning and deep learning, including ML algorithms and deep learning architectures; experience using generative AI for design and implementation.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of 5G and 4G 3GPP protocols and familiarity with wireless communications.
  • Experience with silicon prototyping, emulation systems, virtual platforms, memory-constrained RTOS, and concurrent programming.

Pay

$175,000 and $308,500 (base salary; USD); $184,700 and $324,800 (base salary; USD)

Tools

C, C++, Python, Perl, RTOS, CNNs, RNNs, Transformers

AI focus

Use AI/ML to improve productivity and develop system architectures implementing AI/ML principles; apply ML and deep learning, including generative AI, to design and implementation.
