About the job

Develop and execute system-level testing, debugging, automation, and evaluation for cellular modem technologies, including 5G NR, to improve protocol performance and reliability.

What you'll do

  • Design and run system-level tests for 5G NR and emerging standards; analyze protocol traces and diagnostic logs to identify failures and performance issues.
  • Build test automation using machine learning and data-driven methods for anomaly detection, KPI analysis, and failure triage.
  • Collaborate with firmware, protocol, architecture, and RF teams to validate fixes, support 3GPP conformance, and develop test infrastructure.

What they ask for

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of 3GPP LTE and 5G NR specifications and cellular protocol stack.
  • Hands-on experience implementing, debugging, or validating cellular protocol stacks or physical-layer modules.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and solid understanding of digital communications, modulation, OFDM, and channel coding.

Nice to have

  • Experience applying machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow to wireless communications.
  • Familiarity with 3GPP standardization workflows or beyond-5G/6G research; exposure to wireless test equipment or RF interface protocols.
