Places Data and ML Director

What you'll do

• Lead engineering for Places Data and combine AI/ML with software engineering to solve map data challenges.
• Architect an ML-centric data platform spanning large-scale data-center and lightweight edge models.
• Set team goals and roadmaps, collaborate across functions, and provide technical and career mentorship.

What they ask for

• 15+ years applying and leading teams that use statistical and machine-learning methods on large, complex datasets.
• Experience in one or more of: Algorithms, Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Deep Neural Networks, Distributed Systems, Information Retrieval, or Machine Learning; and experience in Computer Vision, Natural Language processing, and Unstructured Web Data.
• Strong understanding of the mathematics behind modern machine learning, including linear algebra and statistics; familiarity with databases, SQL, and scripting languages.
• Master's degree or equivalent experience in AI, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; ability to translate requirements into implementation and build and inspire teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in Maps Data, specifically Business Listings and other Places of Interest.
• Experience evaluating and deploying large-scale machine-learning models, deep learning, and natural language processing solutions; research publications in leading AI/ML journals are a plus.

Pay

USD $311,100 to $496,900 base salary
