Senior Corporate Counsel - Sustainability Reporting

What you'll do

• Develop sustainability reporting strategy and build compliance processes and internal playbooks.
• Advise on disclosure requirements, materiality assessments, data governance, and assurance readiness; brief senior leaders.
• Coordinate outside counsel and work with global legal, Finance, Compliance, and Values teams; identify opportunities to use AI and other tools for regulatory tracking and compliance.

What they ask for

• At least 7 years in corporate law and governance, including 4+ years in sustainability reporting at a major law firm, in-house, or a regulatory authority.
• Hands-on experience applying CSRD/ESRS, ISSB Sustainability Disclosure Standards, and TCFD-aligned reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with double materiality assessments and third-party assurance for sustainability data.
• JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.

Nice to have

• Experience building or significantly maturing a compliance program; awareness of U.S. state climate disclosure requirements and the EU Taxonomy Regulation.
• Experience directing outside counsel across jurisdictions; experience piloting or scaling AI-powered tools for regulatory tracking or compliance workflows.

Pay

$235,100 and $353,400 USD base salary range
