About the job

Develops and operates data-driven features for a large-scale batch compute platform, using workload data to improve fleet efficiency and workload reliability.

What you'll do

  • Own features end to end, from data analysis and models or heuristics through APIs, production deployment, and measuring results.
  • Implement and validate platform changes across services, control plane, and node-level configuration, using staged rollouts and rollback plans.
  • Analyze customer workloads and cluster capacity, support demand forecasts and quota decisions, and participate in production on-call.

What they ask for

  • Strong programming skills in a general-purpose language such as Go, Python, or C++, with ability to design, debug, and test complex systems.
  • Working knowledge of distributed systems and operating system fundamentals.
  • Experience instrumenting large-scale infrastructure, analyzing resource consumption quantitatively, and delivering measurable production improvements.
  • BS in Computer Science or related fields and 3+ years of experience, or MS with 1+ years of experience, or PhD.

Nice to have

  • Experience building or operating large-scale compute platforms, or improving production utilization and capacity.
  • Experience with production models or heuristics, forecasting, workload characterization, or Kubernetes / Slurm or comparable batch scheduling systems.

Pay

$142,300 and $263,300 (USD, base salary)

Tools

Go, Python, C++, Kubernetes, Slurm

AI focus

Build and deploy models or heuristics that use job behavior data to inform automated platform decisions, such as resource optimization and demand forecasting.
